Panhead Music is the brain child of Joseph Peck. Joseph's love of the the steel drum instrument and the pursuit of educating and being educated began on the campus of Wichita State University when he met a man with a bag of hammers, Dr. Ellie Mannette, the inventor of the modern steel drum who at the time in 1990 was touring across the United States tuning steel drums along his way. This began a 27+ year relationship with the most significant inventor of an acoustical muscial instrument of the 20th century. on their musical journey of self-discovery and professional development. This website portfolio showcases the creativity, skills, and experience of Joseph Peck (aka Panhead) as he embarks on a return to Mid-America in 2023 and continues to develop new recordings and share the gift of music with others.
